Find my fit

Find your perfect bra size

Two measurements, one minute. Most ladies are wearing the wrong size, and it's almost never their fault.

Your size in 60 seconds

Grab a soft tape measure and pop on a non-padded bra (or nothing at all). Then enter your two measurements.

Snug around your ribcage, right under your bust. Keep the tape level and breathe out.
cm
Around the fullest part of your bust, level and relaxed, not pulled tight. Fuller bust? Lean forward slightly.

Enter your measurements and your size appears here, with your sister sizes and a button to shop bras in your size.

How to measure

Measure in front of a mirror so you can check the tape is level all the way round. It takes a minute, and if you can get someone to help you, even better.

  1. Band sizeWrap the tape around your ribcage, directly under your bust. Keep it level and snug. It should feel firm, like a well-fitting band. That's your band size (the calculator does the rounding for you).
  2. Bust sizeWrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level and relaxed, not pulled tight. If you're fuller-busted, lean forward slightly for a more accurate reading.
  3. Find your sizePop both numbers into the calculator above, or use the charts below. Your band is your underbust; your cup is the difference between the two.

Why your size might surprise you. We use the modern UK fitting method used by Freya, Elomi, Fantasie, Wacoal and Goddess: your underbust measurement is your band size. Some older methods and online calculators add 4″ to the band, which gives a bigger band and a smaller cup. That's why so many ladies end up in a band that rides up and cups that are too small. A firmer band means better support, and most of the support comes from the band, not the straps.

Quick fit checks when your bra arrives

  • Band: sits level front to back, firm on the loosest hook. New bras stretch, so you can move to tighter hooks over time.
  • Centre gore: lies flat against your breastbone.
  • Cups: no spillage at the top or sides, and no gaping.
  • Straps: do minimal work. The band gives 80% of the support.
  • Scoop and swoop: lean forward and scoop all the breast tissue from under your arm into the cup, then check again.

Quick fixes

Band rides up at the backBand is too loose. Go down a band and up a cup (e.g. 34E → 32F).
Band feels too tightGo up a band and down a cup (e.g. 32F → 34E).
Spilling over the top or sidesCup is too small. Go up a cup.
Gaping or wrinkling cupsGo down a cup, or try a different style (a balcony instead of a plunge, say).
Straps dig inThe band isn't doing its job. Try a firmer band first.
Centre gore doesn't touchUsually cups too small. Go up a cup.
Wire pokes under your armTry the sister size with a smaller band, or a style with a lower side.

Underwire fit: is the wire sitting right?

The wire should sit on your ribcage, all the way around your breast, never on the breast itself. Getting this right is the difference between a bra you forget you're wearing and one you can't wait to take off.

1. Find your breast root

Your breast root is the line where your breast tissue meets your chest. Lean forward slightly and gently press with your fingertips under and at the side of your breast, moving outwards until you feel ribcage rather than soft tissue. That curve is where the wire should sit.

2. Signs the wire is on breast tissue

  • It digs in or leaves sore marks at the side or under your arm
  • You can feel breast tissue under or outside the wire
  • The centre of the bra doesn't lie flat on your breastbone
  • It feels better the moment you lean forward and scoop

3. What to try

  • Lean forward and scoop all your breast tissue into the cup, then check again
  • Go up a cup size, so the wire is wide enough to sit behind your tissue
  • Try a wide-wired or side support style for wider breast roots
  • Wire poking up under your arm? Try a style with a lower side

Still not sure? Every brand and style shapes its wires a little differently. WhatsApp us with the bra you're wearing and how it feels, and we'll help you find the right style.

UK bra size charts

Find your band from your underbust, then read across your band's row to the number closest to your bust. The column heading is your cup. Example: underbust 30″ (76cm) = band 30. Bust 38″ (97cm) = FF. Your size is 30FF.

Sister sizes

Sister sizes hold the same cup volume on a different band. If the cups fit but the band is too tight, go up a band and down a cup. If the band is too loose, go down a band and up a cup.
